Testimonials
This is why we do what we do.
We are grateful for all our feedback and receive reviews on google and directly by email. Here are some examples.
“I received counselling from Ingrid last year for 6 months or so and the work we did has been transformative for me. Although I haven’t had any sessions in the last six months I continue to draw on what I learned during those meetings and they’ve made a lasting positive impact on my life. Ingrid is personable, compassionate and really puts you at ease from the start. She championed me the whole way. Thank you.”
“I worked with a therapist using the armed forces charity. The military covenant is often talked about its not often implemented in my experience. I was matched with a therapist within two weeks, my wait with the NHS was 3 months. Ingrid gave me an excellent level of support and service. Catering her approach to my specific needs. Great service and made massive improvements to my mental health. Thank you.”
“Ingrid has helped me more than I can comprehend. Her flexibility and compassion have led me on the path to recovery. For anyone seeking help or guidance in life I highly recommend her.”
“I don’t know where to start with this review but I will tell you why I used this company. Since leaving the forces after serving in the Falklands conflict I have suffered every day with nightmares, temper and anger outburst, at times when I have been really low and anxious I had planned to take my life on numerous occasions. This information is just scratching the surface. I approached my doctor who referred me to their mental health team who I haven’t seen yet this was three years ago. Over the years I have been getting worse but plucked up enough courage to contact a charity for veterans who screened me over two interviews for PTSD and said they would fund some therapy for me. Two weeks down the line I had a message from a lady called Ingrid who arranged a chat with me then later regular zoom meetings, during our meetings we talked about my issues and usually gave me assignments to do before we met again. I received the therapy but especially in the first month where I would still get the nightmares have anger issues and having anxiety attacks Ingrid never gave up on me and we talked about a very inspirational guy called Viktor Frankl, I also started looking at Stoicism which I’m still learning about. We did meditation and included 7-11 breathing which was fantastic, we also revisited my anger issues as I was having difficulty with it. Ingrid learnt me the 1-2 method which addresses incidents I couldn’t control (1) and what and how I reacted to it (2) the bit between 1 and two is my thinking time before I get to (2). I have nearly completed my therapy and yes I know I could quickly go back but I feel so positive about life and what’s important in it. From the start Ingrid believed in me and was so professional in her work. I would personally like to thank the charity PTSD Resolution and a special thank you to Ingrid for not giving up on me.”
“Hi, I just wanted to thank you! I’m doing amazing, I’m 427 days no alcohol, I’m a Service Manager at the company I work for and I passed my driving test today! None of this would have been possible without you so really I just wanted to thank you for everything you did for me.”
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the time with Ingrid and have really benefited from our sessions. They have taken me through a range of emotions, ultimately leading me to feeling more confident and much happier. Ingrid allowed me to process my thoughts and emotions out loud, prompting different viewpoints in support of improved mental health. She has helped me to identify the many strengths I have as well as helping me to manage my feelings of guilt. From my time with Ingrid I know what makes me happy. I feel secure in my relationships and I know how I want to spend my time. I can check in with Ingrid to keep me grounded and well balanced.”
“After years of different therapies and interventions, I was sceptical about the possible outcomes at first. However, Ingrid’s patience and considered approach enabled me to make progress with my longstanding diagnosis of OCD that I had experienced for more than 20 years. If you are considering support, but not sure (like I was) if it will make a difference, I would recommend giving it a go with Ingrid. ‘She’s one of the good ones.'”
“Needing help with my anxieties, I had looked at cognitive therapies, but the universe stopped me from going down that route & a friend recommended Human Givens. It was as if it was meant to be. I looked at the website & found Ingrid & I cannot express how much talking to her & meeting her (online) has helped me. Ingrid is calm & such a delightful person and she helped me to feel as if I was deserving of a more positive future & particularly with my family. I came away from each session feeling calmer & far more positive than I had felt in a long time. Ingrid is truly a beautiful person & really listens & gives such good advice.”
“A friend of mine recommended acceptance and therapy treatment for me and I searched the psychology today site for that type of treatment. I looked over quite a few people and after reading Ingrid’s profile, I decided to contact her. She replied super quick and we had a call to discuss what I was looking for and very quickly I decided to put my trust in her. I’ve had plenty of therapy before, so I had a good idea what to expect. Almost every session I have at least one lightbulb moment, where Ingrid will ask me a question and suddenly something becomes clear to me that was previously foggy. Her place is really nice, it’s important to feel relaxed and at ease and I do. She is really accommodating around arranging suitable times etc as sometimes life get’s in the way of arranged sessions. I’ve had around a dozen sessions so far and I was pretty messy when I started and things are most definately back on the right track. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ingrid to anyone looking for someone to help them through some difficult times.”
“I have suffered with my mental health and anxiety for a number of years due to personal circumstances. I have attempted other avenues in the past which have been unsuccessful and seemed to get fobbed off with medication changes. I have had a complete change of mindset and understanding thanks to Ingrid. I was given the opportunity to completely open up and get to the root of my problems, to which Ingrid listened profusely and made me feel so safe and welcome. My anxiety has almost completely disappeared and I have managed to completely diminish my ‘routines’ that I HAD to follow. Now for the first time in six years, I have a full night of unbroken sleep.”
